Video Blog Hellooo!!
I just wanted to record how ridiculously swollen my arm is after my new tattoo! I got it yesterday and it is still really, really swollen, if not more so than yesterday! I'm talking massive. I'm not sure if the size of my mega-Hulk arm comes out properly in the video, but here is me talking about how huge it is and a little bit about my tattoo experience yesterday! :) Sans make-up too, that never happens! :p
Yes, I totally compared my arm to my sisters boob :p

Lovely work! My forearm swelled up like that also. I did put some ice on it and that brought the swelling down. Im going in to start my sleeve in a week and Im expecting it to swell up again.
Now when your a big famous designer and I say my name people will go "Oh right, Zoe's twin, the one with the boob!"
I noticed the older I get the crazier my body reacts to getting tattooed. I am working on a sleeve on my right arm it swells up so bad for a day or two! It freaked me out bad the first time I noticed the swelling. Even worse is what I call "the ditch" (where your arm bends). Man does that swell bad!

i got a tattoo covering the whole top of my foot last year and it swelled up like that, and got so red, peeled, and it JIGGLED...it felt so alien to me...i could feel the top of my swollen foot jiggling when I walked. I put the lotion they gave me on it for an entire day and it seemed to get worse. I did a little research and found that water-based, non fragrance curel lotion was the best thing for it...so i went out and got some (it was like $3) and put it on (every fifteen minutes for the first hour and then every half hour for the next 3 hours- then they say to put it on whenever it feels dry again- which for me was about once an hour for the end of the day- then the next day I only put it on like 3 times the whole day), and almost instantly the pain went away...in two hours, the swelling had gone almost completely down. By four hours, no more swelling!!!
(it really helped retain the color as well, which I was afraid would fade due to the peeling pre-curel!)
i tried to find a picture of what i got....blue bottle..make sure it says "fragrance free"

Hey Chelsea! Eeek that does sound weird!! Jiggling foot!! Mine's gone down nearly to normal now, I've been using Bepanthen ointment which I've always used and its really good. Thanks so much for your tips though!! xo
